A house fire early Saturday claimed the life of one man, Nj.com reported.
The elderly victim, who was in his 80s, lived alone at 55 Palm Street, which broke out shorty after 9 am and consumed much of the one-family home.
Capt. John Brown of the Newark Fire Department said the victim’s name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
