A man was stabbed to death around midnight Friday in Branch Brook Park, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
Frederick Lamont Daniels, 41, of Newark, died following what authorities are describing as a “targeted and isolated” attack. Daniels was pronounced dead at University Hospital in Newark at 12:29 am Friday.
No arrests have been made and the incident is under investigation, the prosecutor’s office also said.
