Kasberger Field in Newark's North Ward was on fire Tuesday for National Night Out, a day dedicated to raising awareness of crime prevention through community engagement.

The 29th annual nationwide event kicked off with a lively softball game between the Newark Fire Department's team Fuego and the Essex County Sheriff's Office. Fuego pummeled the officers, 13-7, and, without losing momentum, took out the Newark Police Department, 8-2.
