Red Cross Distributing Food, Blankets, Supplies Throughout Newark Saturday

Relief agency staging at several locations in Newark

 

La Casa de Don Pedro will be assisting the American Red Cross Saturday in the distribution of non-perishable food, blankets and other supplies at Barringer High School, 90 Parker St., from 9 am to 3 pm.

Hot meals will not be served; instead, the food being distributed is intended to help Newark residents re-stock their shelves to replenish food lost during Hurricane Sandy.

The Red Cross will also be distributing supplies from 9 am to 3 pm at the following locations: 
 
John F. Kennedy Recreation Center
211 West Kinney Street
Newark, NJ 07103
 
New Hope Baptist Church
106 Sussex Avenue
Newark, NJ 07103

they were in Bayonne, hardly let people know where they were so they could get the supplies that were needed. They could have had the police ride around using the PAD system to notify the residents where and when they would be in the area. Many of us are truly upset cus, the food, blankets, and cleaning supplies are truly needed.
