You picked one in Nutley, two in Belleville and one in Newark as you weighed in on your favorites in this week’s Best of Bagels Poll.
Bagel Boy was your favorite for Nutley, located at 287 Franklin Ave. At 11 a.m. on Friday morning, the manager of Bagel Boy was busy making fresh bagels, but still had time to smile as patrons picked up a bagel for an early lunch. The eatery is a one-stop shop for a quick breakfast, lunch or afternoon snack.
Sunrise Hot Bagels, 650 Joralemon St., and International Hot Bagels, 306 Washington Ave., were co-favorites in Belleville. Sunrise Hot Bagels features a wide variety sandwiches, burgers, salads, muffins and egg dishes for breakfast and lunch. The main attraction is the bagels, of course, which come in many flavors and can be topped with flavored cream cheese or made into sandwiches. All baking is done on the premises. There are a few tables for dining in, and there's an ATM inside.
International Hot Bagels delivers a taste of New York in the heart of Belleville with piping hot fresh bagels each morning. The menu includes an assortment of everyone's favorite bagel, as well as a full deli selection. The warm and friendly eatery is a great option for a quick lunch and perfect for catered events.
Finally, Simply Bagels in Newark also gained support from your votes. Simply Bagels offers fresh bagels baked throughout the day, cream cheeses, spreads, cheeses, deli sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, coffees, teas and juices. It's a great spot to meet up with friends, have a business meeting or just hang out. It also provides catering, party platters and local delivery.
