A vital element of downtown Newark’s evolving transformation is the new MILITARY PARK FARMER’S MARKET, which is held every Tuesday, from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, until October 14, 2014. The market is operated by Bensidoun USA, a French company that pioneered the concept of open-air markets in the Chicago area before expanding to the East Coast’s tri-state area.
Within the last two years, the park has undergone a dramatic revitalization, worthy of its historical landmark status. It is the starting point for the NJ Historical Society’s tour of historic Newark landmarks. Now a magnet for the community, the park sponsors a number of events and classes every day.

Every Tuesday, the MILITARY PARK FARMER’S MARKET, set against the Brick City’s imposing skyline, offers the best of the Garden State’s abundant fruits and vegetables, free-range meats and poultry, baked goods and specialty foods.
