Beats, Beverages & Backpacks: Mixer to Benefit Newark Public School Students

NEWARK NON-PROFIT AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS HOLD END OF THE SUMMER MIXER TO BENEFIT NEWARK PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS

Newark, NJ—Young community leaders and professionals are joining together to assist Newark Public School students start the school-year off ready for success!  211 Community Impact, Stereo Type, Kindred Solutions LLC and Legit Basketball Development are holding Beats, Beverages and Backpacks on September 4th, 2013 at 6pm in Newark at Loft 47.  This special event is a backpack and school supply drive for students attending Newark Public Schools.  The goal is to bring different elements of the hip-hop generation together to support school readiness.  Special invited guests include radio and television personality Ed Lover and Newark native Dupre` “Doitall” Kelly from the legendary hip-hop group Lords of the Underground.  Behind this unique collective of organizations is Newark School Board Member, Alturrick Kenney.  Admission is free for those who donate a new backpack, or $15.00 without a donation.  All donations for this event will provide back to school supplies for a Newark Public Schools’ student.   LOFT 47 Bistro is located at 47 Edison Place Newark, NJ 07102.

211 Community Impact (211 Ci) is a Newark-based non-profit community organization founded by Dr. Lauren Wells, Dupre` Kelly, and Eion Haynes.
