Habitat for Humanity, Newark Teams Up with TD Ameritrade to Build Homes
Habitat for Humanity Newark joined with TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation (NYSE: AMTD), a key corporate sponsor, and local dignitaries this morning to mark the ongoing construction of home for a veteran in Newark.
Habitat Newark was joined by employees of TD Ameritrade, a house sponsorship partner who is helping build the home, at 424 S. 9th St. Tom Bradley, president of retail distribution of TD Ameritrade said employees will be participating in a number of “Build Days” through August.
“I would like to thank TD Ameritrade for all its generous support over the years; the company is truly making a difference in the lives of hard-working Newark families,” said Jeff Farrell, executive director of Habitat Newark. “This is a company of dedicated people who understand that tremendous value of strong families and strong neighborhoods in Newark and nationally.”

The home is part of Habitat Newark’s “Veterans Initiative” in partnership with the non-profit GI Go Fund in Newark. The home, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, will accommodate people with disabilities, including wider doors and wheelchair accessibility.
The home will be constructed through the hard work of corporate partners, volunteers and the veteran who will ultimately purchase the home.
