NEWARK

WHAT:

WHY GO:   Now for the 13th year in a row, the sharing of different foods from different cultures and ethnicity  is here again.  And even more, the jazzy time is on again. With non-stop music and everyone from grandma to grandchildren can get up and shake it.   Everyone is asked to bring more food, chairs and umbrellas -- we’ve got the great music!   There will be games for the youngsters including face painting as well as a popcorn machine.  For grownups there will be services such as health tips including having blood pressure taken.   Also International food will be offered and the chance to join with friends in this grand outing.

WHY GO:  Actor’s Workshop Rehearsal.  Free and open to the public.

WHAT: 
WHERE:  Newark Planetarium at the Newark Museum, 49 Washington Street, Newark

WHY GO:  The Newark Museum's Dreyfuss Planetarium is a dynamic  interactive digital theater for learning about space and science.  Two exciting planetarium shows will be offered to kids and adults Wednesday through Sunday  through August 19.  The Planetarium will feature Zula Patrol 2 at 1:30 & 2:30 p.m. In their latest adventure, a routine fossil-hunting mission launches The Zula Patrol on a rollicking ride into Earth’s past!  (Recommended for children ages 5 to 9; 35 minutes)    At 3:30 p.m.  Heart of the Sun examines the Sun up close, describes how it creates the light that warms us and makes life possible here on Earth, and is used as a source of renewable energy. (Recommended for adults and children ages 10 and up; 35 minutes)

WHY GO:  Everyone is a passenger of the SS Libido, which has anchored off the imaginary little Island of NoGo PoGo.  All of the passengers have come to visit the only nightclub on the island, and be a guest at the "Bali Hi Variety Show."  All is not well in Paradise, however, as the Island music is interrupted by . . . Murder! It will be up to the clever passengers to help solve the murder and make it back to the ship alive in this wacky Island-themed mystery
