Aretha Franklin Tickets on Sale Saturday

Legend to appear at NJPAC in November

The "Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin will be performing at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark Saturday, Nov. 10. This is her first appearance at the venue.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, June 23 at 10 am and are available online by clicking here , by phone at 1-888-GO-NJPAC (466-5722) or at the box office, 1 Center St., Newark.

 Franklin is a cultural icon and multi-award winning artist with dozens of chart-topping records and timeless classics hits such as "Respect," "Chain Of Fools," "Think," "Daydreaming," "I Say A Little Prayer," "Baby I Love You," and "You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman."  Named the “No. 1 Vocalist of All Time” by Rolling Stone, Franklin is a 2005 recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a Kennedy Center Honor, 18 Grammy Awards (including Living Legend and Lifetime Achievement awards) and five American Music Awards.  In 1987, she was the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 1979, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Franklin was named 2008 MusiCares Person of the Year by the Recording Academy and was presented with the prestigious NAACP Vanguard Award.
