Clothing Drive for North Ward Friday at Prudential Center

Concert by Korean pop act at Prudential Arena coinciding with drive

On Friday, Nov. 9, the Prudential Center Arena will host the Korean pop (K-pop) band, Big Bang. Organizers say The Big Bang concert will be the largest entertainment event held in the state in the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy.

The non-profit organization “K-pop Fans for Hurricane Sandy Relief” will be collecting new or gently used blankets, winter clothing, hats, gloves, and scarves. All clothing, blankets, and other goods collected will be donated directly to residents of Newark’s North Ward.

The clothing drive will be held from 10 am through 6 pm.

“K-pop Fans for Hurricane Sandy Relief” was organized by K-pop fan and New Jersey resident Adrienne Stanley.
