A Celebration of the 193rd Anniversary of the Independence of Peru

The Library partners with Grupo Cultural Tradiciones del Perú to commemorate the independence of this ancient and complex South American country with a program that celebrates its history and vibrant ethnic diversity. The evening's festivities will feature a talk by local historian, Artemio Oporto, "Peruvian Pioneers in Other Lands," an exhibit of Fernando Mariscal's paintings, and a program of traditional music and dances of Peru directed by musician Pedro Caycho. Centennial Hall.
