Physicians Team Up To Educate Public
Dr. Jonathan Lewin and Dr. Nicholas Chillemi Answer Real Questions About Back Pain for Residents


Rutherford, NJ-  Back pain is one of the most confusing and frustrating ailments a patient can suffer. Recent studies have shown that over 80% of Americans will suffer chronic back or neck pain during their lives. With so many treatments available, from holistic medicines to surgical procedures, sufferers often have a difficult time separating effective therapies from snake oil promises.  Recently, two expert physicians, Dr. Jonathan Lewin and Dr. Nicholas Chillemi, have teamed up to answer questions about back pain in a no cost seminar for the public.

This event will be held at The Malo Clinic in Rutherford, NJ, on December 6th at 7pm.  Those with chronic ailments and questions are encouraged to bring their MRI, CT or X-rays for review by the experts.  Both Dr. Jonathan Lewin and Dr. Nicholas Chillemi will field questions about chronic back and neck issues as well as dispel rumors and myths about treatments and “cures”.

About Dr. Jonathan Lewin

Dr. Jonathan Lewin is a Board Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.  Dr. Lewin is the Medical Director for The Center for Spinal Disorders in Englewood, NJ.  In 1993 he graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with his Doctorate in Medicine. Between 1994 and 1998, Dr. Lewin completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Montefiore Medical Center. Following his residency, he also completed his Pediatric and Adult Medicine Surgery Fellowship at the Shriner’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Temple University Hospital, Cooper University, and Jefferson University Hospital.

Dr. Nicholas Chillemi is a licensed Chiropractor whose practice, The Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Institute of New Jersey, is located in Belleville, NJ.  Dr. Chillemi graduated sum laude from the University of Bridgeport as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Chillemi is also certified as a Clinical Nutritionist as he has also earned a Master's in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. He also has his certification as a Clinical Nutrition Specialist.  As a chiropractor, Dr. Chillemi is specialized in the non-surgical treatment of pain. Chiropractors are well-known for their treatment of spinal pain with a special focus on neck, back and headache pain in which significant research supports chiropractic care for these problems.
