Koeppe, former PSE&G president, also serves as chair of the Newark Alliance

Al Koeppe, the former president of PSE&G and Bell Atlantic and a 1969 graduate of Rutgers-Newark, has received the Steven J. Diner Ethical Leadership Award, the school’s alumni bulletin reported. The award is presented by the Rutgers Institute for Ethical Leadership.

Koeppe, who also holds a degree from Seton Hall University’s School of Law, is the chief executive officer of the Newark Alliance, a philanthropic organization that promotes education and economic development in the state’s largest city.

The awardee names a nonprofit organization in Newark that receives a monetary prize.  This year Koeppe has chosen St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in Newark.
