The killings in Newark NJ

People are dying violently every day two three times a day and nothing is being done about it. This patch page has not reported anything about anything since oct 8th about some guns and drugs being found , but what about today? what about the killing on south orange avenue and smith st on october22nd at or around 11pm when a man was shot many times  and died on that corner. You need to report on things like that to let people know of the chaos that is happing in are city.

Newark, first and foremost, needs to bring back the local police officers laid off last year. State Trooper patrols may help, but only local police really know the streets and the local threats, which certainly change from day to day.

I live in the Ironbound section of Newark, and i see police men two in a vehicle texting or looking at people. Ive seen them put their police lights just to go thru traffic lights, and to pass traffic. Kids wating for public transportation get mugged everyday. Most of the time police are in the vehicles, not directing traffic, rarely helping kids cross street to go to school, why is it that there is a cop at Essex county college, and even at the North star charter school? My son goes to a private school that i pay for, and almost everyday, he and many other kids almost get run over because of ignorant people that cannot remember the speed limit in school or residential zones. There are barely any speed limit signs in the city of Newark. I can't understand why there are ao many overweight police. Seriously, what are they going to do if they have to tin after a criminal? So disgusted.
