A 25-year old city man died Thursday afternoon after being shot in Newark, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Tywan Weaver was wounded at 47 Hanford St. around 1:20 pm. He was taken to University Hospital in what officials said was a private car and was pronounced dead at 1:35 pm.
The prosecutor’s office and Newark police are investigating.
