Fabyan Place Stabbing Death Probe Continues

Newark Police and Essex County Prosecutor's Office investigate death of Antaquan Williams, 28.

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Police Director Samuel A. DeMaio announced Monday that an investigation is underway in the murder of Antaquan Williams last Saturday.

The probe is a joint operation of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force and the Newark Police Department.

Williams, a 28-year-old Newark resident, was stabbed on Fabyan Place in Newark at approximately 10:30 p.m. Saturday during a dispute, according to a statement from the prosecutor's office. He was pronounced about two hours later at University Hospital in Newark.
