Man Struck, Killed by Motorist Following Devils Game

No charges filed against driver, investigation continuing

A Pearl River, NY man was struck and killed by a car Tuesday night after leaving a New Jersey Devils hockey game at the Prudential Center, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.

Thomas Argenti, 18, was hit by car at around 10:30 pm near East Kinney Street and McCarter Highway. He was pronounced dead about a half-hour later.

The 28-year-old driver, whose name was not released, remained at the scene, officials also said. No charges had been filed as of Wednesday afternoon and the investigation is continuing.
