Naquan Scott and another man allegedly accosted victim in his driveway last month.

Newark police and federal agents early Wednesday arrested a city man wanted for carjacking an off-duty Newark police sergeant last month, Det. Carmen Rivera of the Newark Police Department said.

Naquan Scott, 18, was arrested around 7 a.m. at his Lindsley Avenue home and was also charged with robbery, conspiracy and weapons offenses.

Police said Scott and another man, Kafari Hasting, 18, approached the officer June 2 as he stood in his driveway, then demanded his wallet after one of the men pulled a gun. Hasting and Scott then fled in the officer’s 2006 Mercedes Benz, police said. Hasting was arrested June 18.
