Man with Loaded Gun Arrested at Newark Liberty Airport Sunday
Passenger told authorities he'd forgotten weapon was in bag
For at least the second time this month, a traveler was found attempting to board a plane at Newark Liberty International Airport carrying a loaded gun, Nj.com reported.
Robert Kellerman, 59, of Long Pond, Pa., was arrested around 6 am Sunday after his 22-caliber handgun was detected by screeners. Kellerman reportedly told authorities he had forgotten he had the weapon inside his bag.
On Feb. 1, a Florida man was also arrested for attempting to bring a loaded gun onto a flight the site also reported.
