Newark Duo Indicted for Alleged Bank Robberies in Parsippany, Springfield
Both heists occurred in December 2013.
A duo from Newark was indicted Thursday after being accused of robbing two banks in Parsippany and Springfield last December.
The couple, Avery Spotswood, 43, and Quiama Harris, 29, allegedly robbed the Santander Bank in Parsippany two days before Christmas, and a Springfield bank a week before that, according to dailyrecord.com.
Spotswood and Harris were both indicted on two counts each of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Spotswood was also charged with two counts of making terroristic threats to bank tellers by threatening to detonate a bomb.

The teller placed money into Spotswood's bag and he fled the bank on foot, according to the prosecutor's office.

Harris drove the getaway car and benefited from the proceeds of the heist, the report said.
