Newark Shooting Suspect Arrested in Philadelphia

Rodriguez was wanted in connection with Thomas Street shootings last week

A city man wanted for shooting two people in Newark Nov. 11 was arrested Wednesday morning in Philadelphia, the Newark Police Department said in a statement.

Philadelphia police, working off information provided by the NPD’s Fugitive Apprehension Section, arrested Jensey Rodriguez, 31, on the 2000 block of North Marshal Street. He was scheduled to be extradited back to New Jersey, Newark police said.

Rodriguez was one of two suspects wanted in connection with a double-shooting earlier this month on Thomas Street.
