One man was killed and a woman injured in a shooting on New Year’s Eve. NJ.com reported.

Newark resident Antonio Diaz, 47, has been charged in the murder of his cousin, Juan Carlos Diaz, as well as for wounding his stepmother. The shooting occurred around 7:30 pm on Sussex Avenue following a dispute, officials told NJ.com.

Antonio Diaz is the brother of a retired Newark police lieutenant, NJ.com also reported.
