Orange Man Killed in Newark Thursday
Officials ask the public for information on the shooting.
An Orange man was shot and killed early Thursday morning, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Police responded to a call of a shooting near Chester and Riverside avenues in the North Ward around 3:11 am, prosecutor’s office spokesperson Katherine Carter said. Police found Ricardo Brown, 35, unconscious after suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 3:30 am.
