One of Newark's 'Most Wanted' Charged in Shooting

Nafee Wilson charged with aggravated assault, weapons offenses and conspiracy for March shooting on Spring Street.

Police and federal agents Thursday arrested a Newark man who became one of the city’s “most wanted” after he allegedly shot another man in March.

Nafee Wilson, 33, was found in the 200 block of S. 19th Street and charged with aggravated assault, weapons offenses and conspiracy, Detective Carmen Rivera said.

Wilson was wanted for shooting a 32-year-old man March 22, Rivera said. The shooting occurred at 59 Spruce St.

"This apprehension is another example of the dedication demonstrated by the Newark Police Department's Fugitive Apprehension Team while working in conjunction with the FBI,” said Newark Police Director Samuel A. DeMaio.
