Police Investigating Double-Shooting in Newark Thursday

Victims hospitalized in stable condition.

Newark police are searching for suspects in a shooting Thursday that left two men wounded, Sgt. Eugenio Gonzalez said.

A 25-year-old Irvington man and a 22-year-old Newark man were shot around 2 pm on Custer Avenue and taken to University Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
