Reward Offered for Information on Murder Suspect

Law enforcement authorities have posted a cash reward offer for details surrounding a homicide that occurred in Newark in July.

Sheriff Armando Fontoura stated that the Crimestoppers program will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect wanted in the shooting death of Antonio Manning, age 23, of Newark.

Authorities say that on July 8, the victim was running east on Grafton Avenue while being pursued on foot by a man who was armed with a handgun. The man fired several shots at the victim, who was fatally struck in the area of 35 Grafton Ave.

The suspect is described as a black man who was wearing blue shorts, black or blue sneakers with white socks and dreads.
