Reward Offered in Slaying of East Orange Man

Victim gunned down in Newark a year ago Tuesday

The Essex County Sheriff’s Office is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the murder of an East Orange man last year.

Brandon Ellis, 25, was shot multiple times around 7:30 pm on Nov. 27, 2011. The shooting occurred near S. 11th Street and 13th Avenue in Newark. He was later pronounced dead at University Hospital.

According to police sources, three men arrived at the scene of the shooting in a black, late model Audi, exited the car and opened fire on Ellis.
