Sheriff's Office Offers Reward for Info on Murder
Victim was killed in Irvington last week
The Essex County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in an Irvington murder Dec. 4.
Watchung resident Lamont Downing, 34, died after being shot multiple times near Fuller Place and Melrose Avenue.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Lt. Paterson Pasture of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force at 973-621-4586 or via the toll-free tips line, 1-800-847-7432. All calls to law enforcement will be kept confidential.
