Teens Accused of Killing East Orange Man

Pair were arrested last week for the June slaying of Raheem Hughee, the prosecutor's office said.

Two teens were arrested last week for killing a 33-year-old East Orange man, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.

Kaseem Callender, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested Thursday for the June 28 killing of Raheem Hughee, the prosecutor's office said.

Hughee was fatally shot in the area of 41-45 Mountain View Avenue in Newark, the prosecutor's office said. 

Callender is being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance Tuesday morning.

The Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are continuing the investigation.
