Victims ID'd in Triple-Fatal East Orange Accident

Three Essex County men were killed in the two-vehicle crash Wednesday night.

Three Essex County residents have been identified as the victims in a fatal East Orange crash Wednesday night.

Tyrief A. Parker, 24, of East Orange, Kabeer K. Bishop, 20, of Newark, and Dean Scovil, 24, of East Orange, were each pronounced dead at the scene, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Friday.

The three men were in a Nissan Maxima that collided with a Toyota 4-Runner on South Grove Street near the intersection of Central Avenue at about 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, the prosecutor's office said.

A 54-year-old woman and her 74-year-old mother, both Irvington residents, were occupants of the 4-Runner, the prosecutor's office said. They were transported to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the prosecutor's office said.

The 54-year-old woman has been released, while her mother remains hospitalized, the prosecutor's office said. Their names are not being released at this time.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
