Devils to Remember Sandy Victims During Game

Team will donate funds to storm recovery effort

The New Jersey Devils are paying tribute to the first anniversary of Hurricane Sandy Tuesday when they play the Tampa Bay Lightning at Prudential Center Tuesday at 7:30 PM.

In addition to the $50,000 donation made on behalf of the team’s ownership, 50 percent of all tickets purchased online using the code SANDY as well as through the sale of mystery pucks signed by alumni and officials who participated in April’s Global Hockey Legends game are raising money to support the cause.  All funds raised will be donated to the Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Fund, created by New Jersey First Lady Mary Pat Christie.

Also, during the game, tickets will be donated to first responders, a Sandy tribute video will be played and the night’s honorary captain, a season-ticket holder affected by the storm, will be announced.
