Last Chance to Catch Brooklyn-Bound Nets in Newark

New Jersey will be without a professional basketball team after next week when the Nets wrap up the 2011-12 season and pack their bags for Brooklyn.

There are two opportunities left to catch the Nets at the Prudential Center in Newark. They'll face the New York Knicks on Wednesday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are scarce. You can get cheap seats, and by cheap we're talking $97.50 a pop, in the nosebleeds, or pay more than $1,400 to sit courtside, according to availability on ticketmaster.com. Plan B: Pull up a barstool and watch from in Newark.

You have a much better chance of catching the final home game of the season against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, April 23. Seats are still available for the Nets/76ers game, ranging from $20 in the top tier to $75 closer to the hardwood. Get tickets here.

In the fall, the Nets will start their 37th season in the NBA at a new arena, the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Will diehard Jersey fans trek to see them in the city? Time can only tell. 

The team's new logo and color scheme will reportedly be rolled out a few days before April 30, when its name officially changes to the Brooklyn Nets.
