Bank President Discusses Financial Literacy with Covenant House Teens

Martin outlines basics such as establishing credit and maintaining bank accounts.

Provident Bank chairman, president and CEO Chris Martin recently partnered with New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance Commissioner Kenneth Kobylowlski to teach financial literacy to 25 youth at Covenant House in Newark.Covenant House provides a variety of services to homeless young people.

The Financial Literacy Awareness program covered included topics including how to establish good credit, manage finances, set up checking and savings accounts, and how to guard against identity theft. Martin encouraged students to save and learn about investing wisely.
