Free Zumba in Bloomfield, Montclair Center Stage, Laura LaBadia at Nutley Library

Looking for something to do this weekend? Check out these events happening in and around Belleville, Bloomfield, Montclair and Nutley.

Get up early and wake yourself up with free Zumba in Brookdale Park. A free class teaching the Latin dance-based cardio fitness program will be offered at the park 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Licensed instructor Jennifer Manderichio will be in charge to give you 30 minutes of nonstop, healthy fun. The class will take place at the Bloomfield park's soccer field. Participants should bring bottled water and a towel and are encouraged to always consult with a doctor before starting a new exercise or fitness routine.


Live music takes the spotlight this weekend for Montclair Center Stage. Saturday's lineup includes 2:00-3:00 Rob Jennings at 2 p.m., Gerard & Diane at 3:30 p.m., Autumn Turner at 5 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m., Ross Griswold & Graywood. The concert, which fills Church Street with wondrous sounds is free. Music is overseen by Joann Smalls Production and ACIEM Studios handles audio production. 

On Sunday, enjoy the work of Nutley artist Laura LaBadia, who will display her photography and acrylic paintings on canvas at the Nutley Public Library, 93 Booth Drive.  For more info, call 973-667-0405.
