October 12 Clean-Up Event Rescheduled for October 19

The community volunteer event scheduled for Saturday, October 12 has been rescheduled due to the prediction of inclement weather. The Woodland Cemetery Board of Managers will host its second community volunteer event on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Friends and Family of Woodland Cemetery, a group formed under the Board of Managers, along with students and faculty from Christ the King Prep, Newark's Cristo Rey School, will work toward revitalizing the Cemetery by cleaning the grounds along Rose Street.

The first community volunteer event, held on Saturday, September 28, drew over 30 students and faculty from Christ the King, as well as numerous other volunteers, neighbors and partners. Mark your calendars for October 19, and please participate in this important community volunteer event.
