The Weequahic Park is the second largest public park in Essex county. It features a wide variety of attractions including two playgrounds, a jogging trail, 80 acre lake, basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, softball fields, picnic areas and more. It also hosts a variety of outdoor concerts and events. The park, founded in 1901, contains the first public golf course in New Jersey, expanded to 18-holes in 1969.
