Newark Man, 29, Killed Tuesday Night

Kason Williams was shot multiple times in the 800 block of South 16th Street, officials said.

A 29-year-old city man died after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday night, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Kason Williams was shot in front of 836 S. 16th St. around 9:30 pm. He was pronounced dead about 40 minutes later, the prosecutor’s office said.

Another shooting occurred about an hour later on Bergen Street but officials were unsure if there was any connection, NJ.com reported.
